For this book cover series, I highlighted the surrealism and imaginary nature of Haruki Murakami’s novels. Kafka on the Shore, A Wild Sheep Chase, and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle were the three stories included in this series. Through the use of scanning materials, along with macro lens photography, I was able to capture a dream-like feeling. Manipulating the colors into being extremely vibrant and set on a dark background is another ode to the dreamy quality of Murakami's storytelling style.
